With more than 500 exhibits in the permanent display, the Ethnographic Collection forms a very respectable museum, while the Sanctuary owes its existence to an interesting twist of fate that will be explained in more detail on the site.

1:30 PM – A rich three-course lunch of local delicacies, including boar and deer meat, frog legs, oyster mushrooms and ceps, fuži pasta, home-made bread, škripavac cheese and blueberry pie.

3:30 PM – An hour’s drive to Novi Vinodolski, a delightful seaside resort dominated by the fertile Vinodol Valley used for agriculture and winemaking. Contemporary development of the region is witnessed by Vinodol Statute of 1288 and significant Glagolitic works of the era, and the historic core of the town boasts Frankopan Castle, the Trinity Church, the Paulist Monastery, the house of Mažuranić brothers, the Homeland Museum and several other historical sites.
